Rag Weave is typically made in Napal using our Shakti Weave but this rug was made with Lama Weave using 100% wool, likely for a commercial space such as a hotel or elevator lobby. We call the rugs “lonely customs” because for some reason they did not work for the original customer or project. It’s possible that the customer decided they could not live without silk, that’s happened before! All wool Lama Weave works best in super high traffic public spaces and the pile height meets the under one half inch ADA requirement. For sampling, request the 2 x 2 Lama Weave strike off. The colors are the same as the production rug, only this version contains no silk.
