The Goradis rugs made in the southern part of the Karabagh region are a group in their own right. Their repeats of two-dimensional angular devices with accentuated outlines as well as botehs, star-shaped blossoms and small shrubs differ from all other Caucasian weavings. Although crafted in the late 19th century, this piece is very well preserved, with original finishes all around.
