Michele De Lucchi designs Le cerchie, a round tray/centrepiece that encapsulates the minimalist style of the Italian architect. The 3-step edge is the distinctive feature of the project: an architectural design which, as the name suggests (cerchie is Italian for circles), is reminiscent of a square surrounded by a staircase. Le cerchie brings to mind a kind of classical amphitheatre whose actors are the objects placed at the centre of the tray. The large dimensions of Le cerchie make it suitable for use as a serving tray or a generous centrepiece.
