The Tecnolumen Wagenfeld WG 27 not only bears a clear Bauhaus stamp with the chain to operate the lamp, but is also overwhelmingly a design by Wilhelm Wagenfeld shown at the foot and base. He designed the series of lamps with the sleek conical fabric lampshade and straight shade underneath while still a student at Bahaus Weimar. This gave both the table lamp and the floor lamp a homely touch on top of the typical industrial Bauhaus design.
Since the original material, Cellon, is no longer allowed for safety reasons, the lampshade is nowadays made of a heat-resistant synthetic material coated with fabric. The base of the Wagenfeld WG 27 consists of a glass base, glass stem and nickel-plated metal. A finish that can also be found on his other table lamps.
The Bauhaus Wagenfeld W27 table lamp has a height of 50cm, a base with diameter 17cm and shade with diameter 44cm. A table lamp with a reasonable size that provides a wide light distribution, ideal for placing on a sideboard or side table in the living room. The bulb is not included with this table lamp, we recommend a 7W frosted LED bulb for this.
