The curved head is the focal point of the lamp, the smooth rounded orb, divided into two sections, contrasting the sleek lines supporting it.

The powder coated matte black tubing makes the white diffuser of Balancer really stand out as it provides both ambient and focussed light for a space and when used with the dimmer switch it makes this lamp extremely versatile. Balancer quietly adds character, though does not blend into the background of a room, and creates an inviting personal space.

The Northern Lighting Balancer is constructed from steel with a glass light diffuser, and is available in matte black. It also comes with 2m black cable, which includes a dimmer switch and supports up to a 60W bulb.

About the Designer:

After studying design at Bauhaus University in Weimar, Weng Xinyu and Tao Haiyue, originally from China, now work from their studio in Berlin under the name Yuue. Yuue were named in the top 50 designers in Germany for their work which looks to dissect the relationship that users have towards object design, much of their work revolves around the sense of emotion that is created by a work. In addition, many of the works created by Yuue invite a level of interactivity that can be seen through the functionality of the object and attempt to develop a physical connection with users.

The aim of Northern Lighting is to create and inspire. This is achieved through the conception of original ideas so unique that conventional methods appear utterly outdated.
