Arguably one of Ib Kofod-Larsen’s best-known designs, The Seal is an elegant armchair typical of its time and yet entirely timeless. The angled frame and armrests and leather upholstery put comfort at the fore, inviting lounging. And despite being made of heavy materials, it has a lightness to it; the shell appears to float inside the wooden frame. Named after the Swedish ski resort, The Seal is a fine example of Ib Kofod-Larsen’s organic design and focus on detail and comfort. The chair is available with a low or high back.
