As the name suggests, Santa & Cole Cestita Table Lamp is a mini version of the Santa & Cole Cesta Table Lamp.In 1962, Miguel Milcreated these historic lamps, inspired by the customary lanterns that light up the terraces and balconies of homes in Spain. He was also fascinated by an opal glass globe he found outside a glass factory. He kept is as a reminder, and it formed the basis of the lampshade design.

Santa & Cole Cesta Table Lamp has an opal glass shade, whereas the smaller equivalent also has a white plastic variant, making it kid-friendly. A basket-like frameworkmade of cherry wood holds the opal glass globe. The wood is uniquely bent to the desired shape, using an ancient steam bending technique for hardwood.This is an energy-efficient and ecological method. It is then gently polished and constructed to form the lamp base.
